Good morning, boop!
6:49 AM, and I roll over into kisses and an “I love you” before he starts his workday. Right now, I’m still half asleep, sinking deep into my king-size bed like it’s trying to swallow me whole. It’s Saturday, and my alarm won’t go off until 7:45 AM, but my mind is already halfway awake.
From there, I start my morning routine with a glass of hot water to hydrate. After that, I head to the shower and go through my usual morning hygiene routine. As I brush my teeth, my thoughts start flowing—what do I even want to blog about today?
That’s the thing about mornings like this… my mind is already moving before my body catches up.
After getting myself together, I go back to my comfy bed and pick up Verity by Colleen Hoover. I’m deep in it now, 1 hour and 50 minutes left and every page has me biting my nails. I keep asking myself… is Verity really faking?
Chapter 21 gets interrupted by mom thoughts as I hear footsteps moving through the house. Just like that, it’s mommy time.
I head into the kitchen and start breakfast: waffles, eggs, sausages, toast, and grits. For drinks, it’s water for me and purple Kool-Aid for them lol.
And just like that… good morning to the real life of me. That girl.
